What you get

Ten things have to exist before a company can sell anything in Iraq. Bond delivers all ten. You talk to one person from the first call to the handover, and that person owns every filing in the list below.

  1. The company. Registered in Iraq or the Kurdistan Region, either as part of the company you already own abroad or as a brand new Iraqi company. Bond decides which of the two fits your business and files it.

  2. The name. Checked and held for you before anything is signed.

  3. The founding papers. Written in Arabic, with the business activity written wide enough to cover the work you want to win later.

  4. The manager. The person who can sign for the company. The bank asks to see this before it opens anything.

  5. The capital deposit. The money you put into the company, deposited and certified by the bank.

  6. The tax number. The number that goes on every invoice you send in Iraq.

  7. Social security registration. In place before your first employee starts.

  8. Chamber of Commerce membership. It goes on the renewal calendar the day it is issued, alongside every registration Bond holds for you.

  9. The bank account. In the company name, with the signature card.

  10. The registered address. An address that holds up when a customer or an office checks it.

You never have to choose between a new company and a subsidiary of the one you already own. Tell us what you sell and who buys it, and we take that decision off your desk. Counsel handles the legal filings from the same file.

One company we registered end to end

Medicine · Kurdistan RegionWe registered the company, got its name onto the supplier list its buyers use, and put its ISO file together. It sells in the region today under its own registration. We name a client only when the client gives us that in writing. Read the impact study

What usually comes after the registration

A registered company is not yet on anybody's list of approved suppliers. Big buyers in Iraq only buy from companies on those lists, and they ask for certificates before they add a name. Most clients start vendor registration and ISO certification in the first year, and some add a corporate website before they bid for anything.

Questions owners ask before they register

Yes. You do not have to travel. You sign a power of attorney in your own country and Bond files everything here in your name. Bond sends you the list of documents on the first call.

Both are possible and Bond picks the one that fits your business. The Iraqi company can be set up as part of the company you already own in another country, or as a brand new Iraqi company. You do not need to know the difference before you call.

No. The manager does not have to be an Iraqi citizen. A foreign national managing the company needs approval from the Ministry of Interior, and Bond files that request for you. (Al Tamimi & Company, 2023)

The slowest step is getting your home country documents stamped, so Bond starts that on day one. In the Kurdistan Region the company is registered in two to four weeks. (Iraq Britain Business Council)
